Breast reduction surgery is a procedure to correct the structure of the breast and restore its ideal form. Large breasts can cause physical pain, lead to postural instability, and add an unnecessary weight to your daily life. Breast reduction is not a mere “downsizing”; it is a therapeutic treatment to restore balance to your life’s structure. At the same time, it is a “sculptural reset” that reveals your unique body line and hidden beauty. True comfort, where the body feels at rest, will be part of your life once again when the structure is correctly redefined.

• Design Based on Anatomical Structure

Every individual has a unique “Breast Base” (the surface area of the breast attached to the chest wall). We determine the scope of anatomical reconstruction based on this foundation. Therefore, the “ideal aesthetic shape” and the “minimum achievable size” vary from person to person.

• Checking Tissue Density via Breast X-RAY

• Predicting Body Structure through Crisalix (3D Virtual Simulation) Analysis

The surgical design is performed within a safe range that does not compromise blood/lymphatic circulation or tissue tension. Within this boundary, we prioritize long-term stability and the preservation of sensation.

We precisely design 3D patterns tailored to your unique breast base. The incision line is not a “method” in itself, but a “result” of the surgery. The length of the incision is naturally determined by skin elasticity and the amount of skin being removed. If the incision is artificially shortened solely to minimize scarring, the lack of 3D structure will eventually compromise stability, making it impossible to maintain a balanced shape over the long term.

At Mamms Clinic, we design 3D patterns that consider each individual’s natural base, body lines, and overall silhouette. This is why the length of the incision differs for every patient, even in the same breast reduction procedure.

The standard for a “lasting form” refers to a structure that stably secures internal tissues to prevent shifting. Through multi-layer suturing that eliminates dead space and 3D patterns that restore the anatomical axis, we design forms that maintain their original lines even as gravity and tension act over time.

This is a structural division-of-labor surgery where Breast Surgeon Dr. Jinhye Bae and Plastic Surgeon Dr. Seunghan Shin take full responsibility for their respective areas of expertise.

  • Breast Surgeon Jinhye Bae: 3D tissue design, preservation of neurovascular structures, and precise excision.
  • Plastic Surgeon Seunghan Shin: Sculptural aesthetic finishing and sophisticated suturing.

When roles are clearly defined, surgery becomes safer and the form more robust. Our average surgery time is 2–3 hours. This is not the result of rushed speed, but of structural efficiency that eliminates unnecessary anesthesia time. Shorter anesthesia leads directly to a faster recovery.

Breast reduction provides a wide field of vision for the surgeon.
At Mamms Clinic, we perform precise hemostasis and use 3D pattern reconstruction after tissue removal. This ensures that almost no dead space remains, regardless of the amount removed. Therefore, drainage bags are not required. The absence of drainage bags not only eliminates discomfort but also medically reduces the risk of infection and allows for a quick return to daily life, including showering shortly after surgery.

By adhering to the principle of American Suturing (Intradermal Suture), we disperse skin tension to minimize scarring and reduce marks from non-absorbable (removable) threads.

Although this process takes more time during surgery, we choose it solely for the best possible outcome.

A scar is not a design; it is the result of the structure.
